What was the highlight of Cavallo Hotel Verona Est
Friendly and nice staff
We had made our booking for SHG in central Verona but the day before our booking the hotel called to inform us that the hotel we booked was closed due to COVID-19 and they moved our booking to SHG Hotel Catullo - which is a little further away from the city, in a more industrial location. We were only staying 1 night as part of our road trip so it was OK for us, also because we were with a car. However, I think this situation could have caused issues for other travellers (who don't have a car for instance). The staff was very nice, we were also upgraded to an executive room so in the end we cannot complain but perhaps the hotel should mark that the other building is not yet open this year to avoid confusion for other travellers.

Awesome
Comfortable bed and linens. Great shower pressure - always a pleasant find. We had our small dog with us and there were 2 bowls, snacks, potty pad all ready I. The room for him, plus he was welcome in the breakfast room!
Air conditioning was not very efficient, breakfast only acceptable, Italian style.

Great location if you're looking for a sleepover close to highway. Hotel has huge parking lot.
A little bit thinner walls and very used or "abused" rooms, you could clearly see signs of wear and tear even though hotel seems to be renovated not that long ago.

Helpful staff, nice rooms, no complaints.
I had the impression that it was located 5 minutes from the center of Verona. It wasn't.
